Every year in the month of Maulud, the people of Yogyakarta and Surakarta welcome the Grebeg Maulud tradition with great enthusiasm. The procession of soldiers, the playing of gamelan, and mountains of agricultural products are symbols of harmony between humans, nature, and spiritual values. But if we look deeper, this tradition is not only full of cultural meaning, it also contains regular patterns, symmetrical structures, rules of number, and the effects of weather and physical forces. This is the intersection of culture, mathematics, and science that we rarely realize.

If you observe the entire Grebeg Maulud series, from the shape of the mountain, the number of soldiers, the direction of the procession, to the participation of the community, what elements do you think can be explained using mathematics or science?
